God's Love

God loves us SO MUCH!!! It is amazing to me to see how much my Heavenly Father loves me as I go throughout my day. I have had many instances recently where God has shown me that He truly is aware of me and cares about my well being. He knows who I am, He knows what I am going through, and he knows exactly what I need.

Let me give you a few examples:

A couple of weeks ago I was sent this email. it said,

Raintree Commons has been called to serve in the Utah Provo MTC Mission. Beginning May 1, 2013.

As of May 1, 2013, Raintree Commons will become a temporary extension of the Provo Utah MTC. It will be necessary for you to move from the property at the end of the winter contract period on April 27, 2013. We very much appreciate you as a resident and regret any inconvenience that this will cause you, but hope that you will support our decision to serve.

When I saw this I was at first really upset. I had already signed another year contract with them and had plans to stay there and live with a couple other girls in the ward. I freaked out a bit because I like to have plans and I no longer had plans of where I was going to live. I said a quick prayer after calling my parent's freaking out. I then started looking for a place to live. I then realized that it was a good thing and I knew Heavenly Father would bless me. I looked on KSL  (even though every time I have looked on KSL in the past I haven't ever found a cheap enough place to live). I saw an ad for a house that had a private women's bedroom. I looked at it because it looked like a good place. This place was only 200 dollars a month for a private room plus utilities. It was also really close to school and work, so I would be saving money on gas as well. When I looked at the place I knew it was exactly what I needed and ended up being better than my current situation that I thought was pretty good. I snatched that place up. Because of this situation, I know that Heavenly Father truly does love me. He wasn't just going to leave me in a pickle by kicking me out of my house for his missionaries. He was going to bless me as I willingly accepted his plan. He blessed me for being willing. He blessed me more than I would have expected.

Next example:

On Saturday I was working with one of my clients at my job. Whenever I work with this client I can take this client wherever, just to get him out of his house and have fun. I have been wanting to go to the park with him but it has been bad weather every time I work with him. This day it was supposed to rain. I was not looking forward to it. I decided that we would try to go to the park while it wasn't raining. Once we arrived, we got out of the car and the sun started to shine. She sun shined the entire 3 hours we were there. Once we left, it got cloudy again and started to rain. This was another example to me of how much our Heavenly Father loves us. He knew how much this client would enjoy being outside and He knew that I wanted what was best for this client. He gave us the most perfect day to be at the park.

These are just two examples of how Heavenly Father has shown his awareness and love to me. I truly do feel His love for me!!! I know that it is real and I cannot live without it. I also know that my Savior loves me so much!!! His love has changed my life and I am eternally grateful for His love. I truly do feel my Saviors love in all the world around me.

New life!

I love seeing winter melt away and spring emerge!
It truly is a beautiful sight!
Have you noticed the small changes around you?

Have you noticed the Buds on the trees, Grass turning green, Flowers emerging, or the smell in the air?

Have you noticed the formation of clouds in the sky and how the sun hits them as it descends beyond the horizon?

Spring is beautiful. It is a sign of change and new beginnings, of life, and of growth.

What do you love about spring?

Happiness

hap·py

 [hap-ee]
adjective, hap·pi·er, hap·pi·est.
1.
delighted, pleased, or glad, as over a particular thing: to be happy to see a person.
2.
characterized by or indicative of pleasure, contentment, or joy: a happy mood; a happy frame of mind.
3.
favored by fortune; fortunate or lucky: a happy, fruitful land.

What makes you happy?

I've been thinking about his question recently. There are so many things in this world that make me happy. I think it is important to recognize these things because you never know when they will be gone for a season.

Things that make me happy!!!

Seeing out of the ordinary things:

Things that Sparkle!!!

Planting seeds and seeing them grow!!

This guy especially makes me happy! Isn't he so cute!!

Sidewalk Chalk!

This Girlie!

And This Girlie!

Talking with My Korean from Hundreds of Miles Away!

Knowing who I am!

These are just a few things. I truly could keep going on and on!

But what makes me most happy is having the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. Knowing who I am, and of my divine potential. Knowing that I have a Heavenly Father who loves and cares about me. Knowing that I can live with my family FOREVER! Knowing that through the Atonement of my Savior and friend, ALL THINGS are possible. Knowing that I can be like my Savior, Jesus Christ if I will put my faith and trust in Him. The knowledge that I have of the Gospel and of my Savior is what brings me the most happiness! I love this Gospel.

So what makes you HAPPY?

SPRING!!!!

I love Spring!!! It is the best season of all time. I love when Winter melts away and the buds of spring start to emerge. This year I decided I wanted to plant some flowers. I decided to grow them from the seed and see how well they did.

Here are my little pots right after I planted them.

As I was doing "Spring" stuff today, spring cleaning, watering plants, etc. I saw little green sprouts peeping through the dirt. It made me so happy to see that life truly was in those little pots!

Do you see them? This little bit of life made my whole day!!!

What do you love about spring?

Footprints

we leave footprints and heartprints everywhere we go

This is such an interesting thing to think about. Where have I left my footprints? Are my footprints that I have left behind leading to good places?

When I think of footprints, I think of their purpose. Footprints leave a track that can be used for following or finding someone or something. Where do my footprints lead? If someone were to follow my footprints, would they be in a better place than where they started?

I love the poem Footprints in the Sand

Footprints in the Sand

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:

"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

If we stay close to the Lord, our footprints will be right beside our Saviors. The only times our footprints cannot be followed are the times that the Lord is carrying us. It is at that time, those that were following our footprints can start to follow Christ's footprints. I want my footprints that are being followed to lead others closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ. I want those that follow my footprints to know that I walked my journey striving to stay on the path; that I had my struggles, but that I allowed my Savior to carry me through them and that the Savior can carry them through their struggles also.

Evidences

Have you ever looked around you for evidences that God exists; not only that he exists, but that He knows you exist, that He is aware of you, and that He loves you? Have you ever looked for evidences that God knows you personally? That He knows exactly what you are experiencing, and exactly what you truly need?

I have thought about this recently. Through experiences I have gone through, I am seeing how much my Heavenly Father truly is aware of me and my situation. He knows what I can and can't handle at a specific time. He knows me better than I know myself. As I look back on events that have happened in my life, both far back and recent, I have seen His hand being a big part of my life. I have seen that He truly does know me! I look at the recent findings of my health problems and am grateful for the timing in when He allowed them to be revealed to me.

I have had headaches almost everyday for two and a half years now, and after going to many different doctors, we just found out what was causing them. I don't write this so you will feel bad for me. I write it to express to you how much our Heavenly Father truly knows about each one of us. Anyways, over the two and a half years, I had many prayers that included; "why me" "please heal me" "take this away" "give me answers" etc. But none of them were answered. I started to doubt that God even knew I existed. I started to doubt that He even cared about me and what I was going through. I knew He existed, but I felt forgotten in such a time of need.  But he had not forgotten me. He was with me more than ever. He knew that I was not ready for the answers of what was wrong with me. He knew I could not handle it until I had become a different person. A person that would turn to the Lord and accept whatever was ahead. He let me experience pain and sorrow so that I could experience the healing power of the Atonement. I was not healed physically, which I had prayed for many times, but I was healed spiritually. I was healed from the inside out, so much so that the physical healing didn't matter to me anymore. I am okay with the pain I go through everyday. Yeah, it's hard, and painful, but I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and only wants what is best for me. Because of this knowledge, I am the happiest I have ever been. Yes, life will be hard, and challenges will arise, but as long as I have my Heavenly Father and my Savior, everything else will work together for good.

Look for times in your life when you have seen evidences of God's love for you. If you look for them, you will find them!
